The Globo Hammock Chair Stand is made from spruce, which is weatherproofed by treating it in a dipping bath. The metal fixings are weatherproofed also as they have been galvanised. They are all subjected to a bath impregnation process which gives the wood a green/olive hue and protects the wood from weathering, insects, and fungi - thus prolonging the life of the stand.
